Although known chiefly as a leading abstract sculptor and painter, Royal Academician John Carter is increasingly celebrated for his printmaking. He had his first solo exhibition at the Redfern Gallery in 1968 and has since exhibited widely in Europe, Japan and the USA; a solo exhibition of his work was held at the Royal Academy in 2013, entitled John Carter RA: Between Dimensions.
